Pool Terms and Conditions

SPECIFIC CLAUSES

OPENING

  1. If you have a diving board, it will not be reinstalled, in accordance with the residential pool safety standard (BNQ 9460-100/2009).
  2. We will remove up to 3 bags of leaves and/or debris. Each additional bag will be charged at $5.00 plus taxes per unit.
  3. The pool liner must be in good condition to withstand brushing and vacuuming to ensure proper cleaning. Stain removal from the vinyl is not included with the opening service.
  4. For a "Type B" opening for in-ground pools, you must maintain the water level at the upper part of the skimmer.
  5. Regular-priced opening services are not available for pools that were non-functional the previous year. This also applies to fiberglass and concrete pools.
  6. When starting the system, the technician will, whenever possible, start your heater and turn it off once the verification is completed.

CLOSING

  1. The pool must be operational and cleaned before our technicians arrive.
  2. We remove removable equipment, lower the water level, apply appropriate chemicals, remove the pump and filter plugs, and drain the skimmer and return lines.
    Note: If you have a diving board, it will not be removed as we will not be able to reinstall it in the following spring.
  3. Club Piscine is not responsible for the consequences of heavy rainfall after closing. In such exceptional circumstances, you must ensure that the water level remains below the skimmer before freezing temperatures arrive. The service to lower the water level again is billable.

WINTER COVER: INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL

  1. The price for installing the winter cover does not include the materials needed for securing it. Any necessary rope, stakes, and/or water tubes not available at installation will be charged additionally.
  2. Our price for removing the winter cover does not include the removal of leaves or any other debris. If you opt for a "Start-Up" service, you must remove the leaves and/or any other debris from your winter cover before our technicians arrive, as no cleaning is included with this option.
  3. It is recommended that safety covers be clean and dry before storage to prevent damage. Therefore, it is your responsibility to clean, dry, and store your safety cover.

INDOOR FILTRATION SYSTEM

  1. We strongly suggest relocating filtration systems outdoors to avoid additional costs due to location constraints and to prevent the risk of flooding inside your home.
    Note: Club Piscine hereby disclaims any responsibility for direct and/or indirect consequences of damage to an indoor filtration system.

GENERAL CLAUSES

  1. A surcharge of $5.00 will be applied to the contract when the gas price at the pump reaches $2.00 or more per liter.
  2. For areas south of the Suroît (municipalities south of the canal), an additional charge of $25.00 will be added to the contract.
  3. Our service prices are based on a 40 km radius from our branch. A fee of $2.50 per km applies for service outside this area.
  4. Our service prices are based on easy access to the pool and its equipment. Additional time required due to restricted access is billable.
  5. Our service prices are based on standard, adequate equipment. Additional time required to perform work and/or repairs on non-standard or inadequate equipment is billable.
  6. The client authorizes Club Piscine to perform additional work up to a maximum of $100.00 plus taxes to complete the contracted service.
  7. A charge of $85.00 plus taxes will apply if the pool water level is not at the required height for the scheduled service.
  8. A charge of $85.00 plus taxes will apply if access to the pool, filtration system, and/or necessary equipment is not available to our technicians.
  9. The client must assume all direct and/or indirect costs related to refilling the pool for maintenance and/or repair services.

ADMINISTRATIVE CLAUSES

  1. The opening/closing service is not available for concrete or fiberglass pools.
  2. Club Piscine reserves the right to refuse your service request.
  3. We will only process complaints regarding completed work if they are submitted within 48 hours of service completion.
  4. All services will be suspended for accounts that are unpaid after 30 days.
  5. A late fee of 24% per year or 2% per month will be applied to overdue accounts.
